I use Ex Army goretex jackets from ebay.

friend had a pair of stien boots not sure which model but they fell apart pretty darn quick,

meindl woodwalkers have been a good boot for me.

The guys using the wood walkers in Germany have had bad experiences with them, with the mid soles failing before the vibram soles.

Looking to buy new boots, quite fancy the Stein Krieger boots. Any thoughts?

I also am looking at the Andrews boots, but another 50 squids though.

Am I right in saying the only difference is the profi model has a magnesium body and the other alu?

the makita had this model on pomotion its a super deal its the farmers model dolmar do this saw PS-500 the profi model in makita / dolmar is the PS5105 / DCS5031

I do whenever I do my boots!

I have 2 stihl belts. The brown one is hard and brittle and the black stretches like a rubber band. The McGuire or Astra off eBay are better.

I have got some great work belts off eBay. Better than the stihl one as they are oiled leather.

Having lived half my life in Germany and speaking the lingo I was thinking of moving back there to work. Any tips on finding work in the tree field. I´m not a climber too old for that but have spent my time working as a groundie. Have the usual CS30/31 plus a Countryside management Level 3.

Any thoughts or tips? Would be based in the Cologne /Köln area.

I use Lavoro Sherwood. Good breathable membrane. Might try Meindl Woodwalker next as they have a good reputation.

Same here +1 for the pfanner by far the best I've worn I do like the look of them englebert Strauss trousers though seem cheap and look very similar to my pfanners anyone rate them?

I like my Engelbert Strauss, good because you can get them in a short leg. Plus they dry quickly when washed.
