Surely if you are selling fuel to the public you should have product liability insurance. If you sell logs that spit onto furniture and cause a fire then you could held responsible especially if you did not give the buyer a disclaimer telling the dangers of spitting fuels and the need for a fire guard and the fuel sold was not as described i.e seasoned when it wasn't.
Something to ponder on .
Can you prove that you have any idea what your waffling on about? I just got in from lambing and people like you really bloody grate on me. I know this and that. Well go tell it to a wall. Then bash your head against it.
Happy new year.

Sounds like you need a hand getting a massive chip off your shoulder. Calm down. We all disagree on things. Healthy debate is all well and good. But the last few things I've seen you write are just spoiling for a fight. I know I'll get some pointless dribble off you for this comment. But I honestly couldn't care less about what appears ON SCREEN. calm down and bah humbug to you. Merry Xmas.

You also have to have a livestock holding number for agri business.

How is it far better if it could of prevented an accident?

I think you will find there are incidents daily and its times like this you need to be belt and braces. Here are just a few and if you dig deeper there are hundreds if not thousands of them.
Telford rush hour traffic chaos after tractor trailer crash Shropshire Star

Teenage couple's tractor crash death sparks speed limit warning | This is Essex
Although half the time its not the tractor drivers fault it wont stop them being thoroughly checked out. No stones are unturned when there is a fatality .
Going back to the wider loads , the tractors have to conform to the same criteria as the trucks on this. Few do but it leaves them wide open if things go wrong,
Agricultural vehicle combination maximum width = 2.55 metres
This may be exceeded providing conditions are complied with*.
2.55 - 3 m = 20 mph speed limit
3 - 3.5 m = 20 mph speed limit + police notification (24 hours before journey)
3.5 - 4.3 m = 12 mph speed limit + police notification (24 hours before journey) + escort required
Bob
You got that exactly right after I recently had an accident with a tractor that was 3m wide and hadn't given notice

a lot of urban myths comming out here today, now some facts, tractors are limited to 20mph...by the road traffic act, tractors are described by the construction and use regulations, nothing to do with brakes, its all about suspension, try reading it, there are age restrictions on tractors the same as all other vehicles, and weight restrictions. (21 is the magic age for most driving things, ) anybody who operates a tractor on the road needs to read, and actually be aware of what the law actually says because it only takes one police orifice who knows and your licencse is gone
It's everything to do with brakes. AND suspension. And age is 16. Still.

These "low value goods" can make or break people. If it's a crap summer and you've only got a small weather window to get your harvest in ,which you've worked all year to achieve, you need to get it done as fast as possible. And when I say fast, I'm talking 50k tractors which is all of 31mph! Then a car comes flying round the corner doing 50mph and you get the blame for driving irresponsibly...?? I would bet every person who posted on here has done much faster that 31mph on back lanes, and I doubt many tractor drivers actually go flat out on back lanes, big machines just look faster because they're big.
Undoubtedly there is some idiots let loose in heavy machinery, but you get that everywhere. But no one has actually mentioned any accidents? I can't think of any in my area, there's the occasional bale that slips of the load or blow out on the trailer but that's it. Accidents in the field or in the yards is a different story! I could list them off all day
Couldn't agree more!! I've had the pleasure I've driving a 936 at 65k. What a treat. You covered it. Don't forget people you need farmers 3 times a day.

I'm guessing the images differ with his account of what happened then?
-
Totally agree. But they just won't be educated

Speak to mendip wood shavings.

Luckily the tire didn't blow out!! And on a good note. The chassis is fine YIPEE
-
Your telling me. Bigger than the Landy. So about 6ft. And if I'm correct near on 4ft wide.

Nice tyre!!!!
Could have been a lot worse, it's only metal
Indeed. Considering tanker was full. Think I've got it from another angle as well.
-
that's looks like what happened. I would have been papping my self if I was the landy driver.
I was clenching. Yes, the picture clearly shows neither the landrover or tractor stopped in time.

-
Yeah Jon? Haha

His account slightly different to yours!
Please do inform me as we discussed very well with insurance. And both agreed at the time
-

Then been running maize, down hill left hand bend. Tanker with floatations tires. 12ft wide. Landy locked up. Neither of us could do anything. Lucky we are friends
