Yeah I bet there's not many bakers here lol. Thanks for the welcomes, seems a great place!
I'm in Wolverhampton West Midlands and drive (a discovery so I can get to most middle of no where places lol). My knowledge isn't vast but I'm used to working my balls off. As a baker I start at 4am most days and don't stop till about midday when I'll have my dinner. I generally only need showing most things once and don't mind getting stuck in.
I just think I'd enjoy seeing what goes on. I spend enough time watching videos on YouTube I think I'd prefer it in real life! Yeah I agree about Sundays, least favourite day to work and now luckily I don't have to other than near Christmas. One of the benefits of working for a small bakery.
Thanks for the replies

No one?
Would anyone here be willing to take someone on for just one day or is it more hassle than its worth for you?

Hi, to give a bit if background I'll tell you about me briefly. I'm 21 and work as a baker and have done for a few years now. I love my job and love where I work now (very small traditional bakery). I'm happy with my job and pay.
But, I have a huge interest in arborism. I've always enjoyed climbing trees and things like that but I also went to college for 2 years doing carpentry. Although completely different to this line of work, I've always enjoyed working with wood.
At the moment I already work 45 hours a week with two days off (Tuesday and Sunday). Would it be a silly idea to try and work for either minimum wage or voluntarily (depending on what I was doing, I would want to be doing something moderately interesting if it was voluntary)? Possibly to make it into a career if it takes my fancy but more so at the moment as an enjoyable hobby?
An I kidding myself or is it a good idea? Obviously I realise if I could secure a position it'd most likely be labouring but if I could learn about the more I retesting stuff too I'd be chuffed.
Thanks, Carl.

Ill have to look into a local nature reserve!
I think it might be worth ringing round a few local companies and seeing if anyone's interested.
