  2. that tree should not be wasted. if it can stay standing then try that but if it must come down then make sure it's milled.

arbscape might be interested, he's just bought his own mizer and may want it.

where abouts is he based mate? I googled arbscape, and its coming up in Scotland?

  3. Really sad for that to go. I used to drive past it twice a day - it's a landmark tree if South Croydon has such things!

Have you tried Rob at Woldingham? He's not being very communicative at present for a change but he may take it. I can PM you contact details if you don't have them.

yes please mate, that would be really helpful. cheers

  4. It's a TPO'd tree. A big limb snapped out at the beginning of the year and flattened the owners car, so I'm gonna go with the tree inspectors decision. To be fair, the woman's house is in total darkness, and this time of year her whole house is full of berries, which isn't a great combination with her pets and grandchildren. It is a shame the tree has to come down, but there we go.

I don't want to waste the timber, seems a sin to just log it up and take it to the tip, especially since I have seen some of the amazing bits of art that have been created using this wood. However, I don't have the time or equipment to deal with it. So if someone can make use of it, I'd prefer it went to a good home. No price in mind, make me an offer and it's most likely yours, but you'll need to be able to remove it from site.

    Cheers for your input guys.

  5. Got a Yew tree on Addington Road in Croydon being felled on 11th Nov. In the front of the property and probably only 3m from the main road. Its about 250-300 years old. Tree officer has ID'd it to have laetiporus at crown break. Is anyone interested in processing it, or am I wasting my time?

  10. I,AM NOT SURE I,VE MISSED THE POINT

i have never used any saws in a pendulam test or tried to rip the back handle of stihl as just used,em for cutting up wood .So on that note do they do as intended cut wood up as for the stihl name i know its naughty but would a mc culloch jonsered husky ryobi jcb etc stand upto having there handles bashed off etc

or for the money does this saw do what its suppose to do cut wood for anyone who buys one i only used a new b&q saw last week and was like holding a rubber saw but it still did its purpose that is cut wood and bet if i throw it out of a tree along with another branded saw they would both end up damaged somehow i think its all about copyrite nothing more dont get me wrong i would,nt buy one as i,am a tackle tart lol but for the odd job get the saw out the shed etc will they do the job when asked and again cut wood like a old stihl made & sold with no brake at all will still cut wood unlike the chingchongchiner one with a chainbrake will it cut wood ??? i will sit cringing now and if i,am wrong i will openly admit i,ve got it all wrong lol

Is this a serious post? I think it's more to do with the saws breaking under stress and taking someone's face off, not about copyright...
