  1. Im from Orpington, not sure of any farmers might be worth looking around tho
  2. Hi guys does anyone know what the best way i could practice my sink cuts/dog tooth/ sink cut etc. i did my training this week but didn't really get enough time with my mentor, and now the weeks over i don't think im going to pass my test because i only got watched doing about 3 sink cuts(if that) as one of the guys in the class required alot of help.Im confident on cs 30. ive got all my own gear but i don't /know how i can practice really as i don't know anywhere that i could go only way i can think is if i get some logs in? im in Kent. any ideas on what i can do? thanks guys
  3. I bought this chainsaw boxed from a reputable dealer. Under a hour of use and as i finish a cut the bar flops down where the nut came loose. I was advised to buy this one for my course by the store but now i regret it as i was happy to buy a more expensive model. My old spear and jacksons cheapo chainsaw never had any problems like this and i made sure the bar was on tight when i put it on. Has anyone ever heard of a bar coming loose so easy? to me its a fail in safety but the store said i have to understand how much vibration they have . Sounds like a excuse to me personally but Im not happy and don't feel comfortable using it. Any advice on what i should do? thanks
  4. Im doing my climbing in feb, was wondering if anyone knows somewhere that does a all in one pack ? (mainly because i don't know what i really need to get started) Also for climbing are there any exercises that are good for preparing for it? im guessing its mostly reliant on core muscles, thanks
  5. im having a look at them ive never been good with decisions because of price to power its trying to think is the extra power worth the money, i just want a all round tool as it will be a while before i can buy another so gotta pick wisely
  6. I'm drawn to it and i guess as its my first real saw i can get into habbit easier with it, I'de rather pay the extra to get a saw that will stand the test then a basic one that will lead to me needing to upgrade shortly after in terms of the bar can anyone give me some reccomendations im guessing the oregon powersharp ones are useless? i like the idea of the ease but im guessing its a gimmick? and I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to use that for my test, thanks for the replys
  7. So ive got a better budget now and im looking at the Husqvarna 560 XPG would that be a good investment ?
  8. Hi thanks for your reply my budget would be £400 at a push and it would just be for all round work
  9. Hi all I'm doing my CS30/31 Combined Course at Hadlow on the 20th of November. I'm after buying a chainsaw as i have all my PPE . ill be doing work for myself, What would be a good saw that's cost effective and commercial grade looking at the stihl, husq website obviously i don't have enough experience with them to know so its confusing as I've only got a Spear and Jacksons saw right now, thanks !
