Would be fine if you don't have chunky legs or for squeezing them on for the odd job.

Most of my tree work is in the water these days and we use waders with chainsaw wellies on the bottom or a dry suit with chainsaw wellies attached, you still need to whear your chainsaw trousers under them tho.

Go manky after a bit of sweating and red hot despite the vents.

Wish I'd stuck to the old husky.

We use a company called lloyds to do our tractor, winch, slings, chains and the like.

Used to come out to our Crook depot and now Darlo.

No idea of cost, their a pretty big outfit I think.

Had a Husky 39O xpg that was stolen, was replaced with a stihl 650.

Not impressed with the 650 seems unbalanced, the 390 was probably the best big saw I've used, balanced and plenty power.

Another vote from me, good axe, hardly ever gets stuck aswell

I work for the EA now, was supposed to do the prudhoe job with a mewp, but was told I was overdue a refresher course, not allowed to climb in our area for some reason even tho have tickets from college and previous job

Never saw that job in the flesh, did they all need climbing ?

You could have left it under there for a few years and called in them two portly fellows off swamp loggers to get it out, they always look they would work for a hand full of nuts and a shower.

One day I hope to be as good as Shelby

I just missed out on the job at prudhoe jltree.

So that's where cramlington tractor been .. Knicked by darlo depot for job...

noooo , we borrowed darlo's tractor because cramlington has ours or it's been sent to another area or something like that I give in asking. We always had our own tractor till they closed our depot.

You been climbing up at prudhoe on the flood bank ? Who'd you work for ?

That was me in the water , I enjoy it realy, plenty natural insulation to keep me warm not to bad if you can keep busy when your in.

The plasma ropes are good, only down side is they fray easily on stones, need to use a plate or handy log when pulling over a hill crest. And the Cost !!!

Think you could at least double that £750 it's a canny length tho, think its 60m

Was a nice spot to work silky fox, always like working at durham.

Been lurking on arbtalk for a while now so thought I'd better try a picture thread.

We ( EA) had a job last week to help the council taking a couple of trees out of the river that they were going to drop in due to bad access.

The site had a good landslide recently knocking a big beech over and damaging an oak, also their was a decent size beech to come out aswell due to a hollow and rotten base and being close to busy footpaths and previous landslide.

The council lads felled the trees in and we pulled them out to the opposite bank with better access.

I had a quick dip to put the strop and winch rope on to pull it into shallower water whear I could touch the bottom and break it up a bit to winch it up the bank.

Full of metal to keep us on our toes.

Woke up this morning to find the winch and bumper had been nicked off the works land rover. (Warn Winch / braided rope)

Also got in the back and took kit bags, tools / box, combi can and two near new chainsaws:thumbdown: Husky 390 xpg and 346 xpg aswell as other gear, even waterproofs

Took from near Crook in County Durham, just to give you lads a heads up if your nearby.
