  1. was just looking at the the amount of burrie needed, going to be a bit cumbersome, as andy was saying. do you know much about the doulble braid end for end splice ? looks to me it might not be that strong as the inner braid isnt joined ?
  2. cool glad someone has done it before. new possibilities, long foot locking slings, riggings sligs, even pulley saver set ups!!! Thanks drew.
  3. Hi andy. no dont think you've missed anything, I was just curious if there was a safety reason, why people don't make their own end for end spliced prussicks.
  4. hey mark. You still working up newbry way ? its jake by the way.
  5. Does any one have any thoughts on and end for end splice to make a prussic loop. I was thinking of using a brummel type splice to make a prussic loop out of some ice tail or even arom pruss. But ive never seen it done before. apart from maybe the Roop slings ? Also though it could be quite neat on armor pruss if you pull the cover over the splice so it cant be seen , or exposed to any heat or friction. Is the splice suitable for this application ?
  6. Is the a cl1 bd splice with a shorter bury? if so how short a bury is safe ? whats is the class3.5 jerry splice ? how is drews splice different ? is this all a big secret ?
  7. Anyone had a go at splicing it yet ?
  8. Im pretty sure its a class 1 db splice for amor pruss. definetly dont climb on it !
  9. its a kit from fr jones, very similar to their lanyard kit. either tie some knots or splice it up. i think it would make a nice saver spliced up, you could even add a pinto to it. other wise its a pretty rudimentary saver.
