Give redwood a call and speak to Matt. He has something special up his sleeve. I saw one and bought 3 straight away. Only 6 inch towable available at the minute. Will blow the rest away.....

What do you have ?

We have yards in Hertfordshire, west London and Basingstoke and are after any kind of wood to convert into chip.

Hi guys
We are after large volumes of three meter wood, don't care what sort as long as it is free of significant decay.
Collection area anywhere in the south east. Minimum 26t at a time.

Tracked Biomass Chippers
in Large equipment
Posted
Hi Guys. I don't usually post on here but I thought I should come to my guys defence. I remember this job as it was me taking the video. We often double handle timber when feeding our chippers as it helps remove contamination not add to it. When this job was complete we found lots of stones, a metal bar and a hydraulic hose. The forwarder driver who stacked the wood there clearly needed to spend some time loading a chipper !
As you can see from the video the poor bloke had to pick his way very slowly through to stack as it was rock hard timber and full of rubbish.
Back to the thread. We run a twin engined 500hp plus 100hp tracked machine.

Chip quality depends on machine set up and the quality of maintenance. You are unlikely to produce a G30 from whole tree / brush however as it will contain too many fines.
Cheers. Phil
