    Very new to this, not sure how it all works.

    Does anyone know anything about a taster day in north yorkshire?

     

    Its something Phil lowe of lowe maintenance is doing in yorkshire? (somewhere!) try his website?

    From what I remember of my assessment it was stripping a saw, cleaning it, sharpening it and answering a few basic questions such as the pitch of the chain and two-stroke mixtures. There shouldn't be any trick questions.. The cross cutting was literally cutting the end off a log a couple of times. I'd recommend reading through an assessment schedule.

    The assessor guidance states that a minimum of 10 cross cuts and a minimum of 1 boring cut MUST be made.
