Hi as above the customer wants 7 to 8 feet reduction off the crown total height

and thinning is this to much ? what is the rule of thumb in reduction on a silver birch.

If you look at the the photo of the base it has a deep V union with included bark

does it look safe?will the ruduction affect this in any way appriciate your comments.

This is my set up cant complain ,

Its got advantages over bigger chippers as regards the drag if the customer wants the chip.

I use 13mm yale xtc magma ice for my main climbing line

with 10 mm beal prusik regate hitch cord ,tied with double fishermans termination on a DMM hitch climber pulley using a knut friction hitch works well .
