  1. Thanks Tony, that was the sort of info i was looking for.
  2. The first was a formal caution and the second is an interview under caution. The first i had to admit to as the officer turned up as the tree hit the ground, hard to deny it when you have the saw in your hand. I'm not so worried about criminal convictions as i'm pretty sure my company and the clients are more likely to get those but i'm just interested to know how the cautions are handled after they are issued.
  3. Yup, i am an employee. i know i can pass the buck up the ladder but i am still the man on the spot and the one with the caution. All the jobs i get given now i get email confirmation from the relevant authority, so i have it all on my pda if i ever get a visit.
  4. Yup, tell me about it, i must be getting complacent in my old age. twice bitten....! Have told the boss all jobs are going through me now.
  5. Hi Guys, I'm a newby here (although i've been a bit of a lurker for a while). I've been in the industry for 15 years and suddenly i have had 2 cautions for removing TPOd trees in ten weeks. On both cases i had absolute confirmation from the client that all the correct paperwork had been filed and there were no problems to go ahead. In both cases i'm sure that the client will bear any recriminations for the work carried out but it is my name that has been issued the caution. My question is are these cautions recorded on a national database or just within the local issuing authority. Also, how long do these cautions remain on record and can they effect any future work or job applications? Cheers for any info you can give me. Baggins91
