SRT just saves your body. Plain and simple. Get good at throwline. Moving around the tree is so effortless with redirects. Load sharing on PSPs is epic. Cannobase anchor allows for higher TIPs on trees that one might not feel comfortable using that high TIP alone....get sone.....

Bro, SRT work positioning is the future period....all good...ITCC is slowly coming on board allowing the RIG and wrench....
-
enjoy...and I sincerely mean that...lol
-
Neither, throw the zigzag away....get a wrench...start SRT....and then get unspliced ropes...hmmm...buy a pinto for a canopy anchor...stop the wear and tear on your body all that humping....my stupid 2 cents.....
-
Petzl, dropped the ball on this one...does not matter to me as I have no interest in things DdRT for a long time....I would check the zig zag often...please don't take any chances climbing on a cracked one...a life is just not worth it...my 2 cents...
-
sawpod...could never use anything else...hate reaching around....
-
Oh my....you are a true hoot Mark....parties must love you....
-
Really?
-
Oh my interesting Mark, front and rear gunner....this should be fun...interesting...
-
Rope wrench...easy tool to use...if you want a mechanical...go for a rope runner head to treestuff now they got them in stock...
-
Well that is good damn news, cause i don't like climbing with bungee cordage....that nylon core is just crap on SRT IMHO....well I will pleasantly say for my climbing style....poly core only for me....
-
Yeah I will be doing that Al.....of the 10 I will bring 3 at least....that will do...
-
Yeah all american versions....polyester core and not nylon cores like you have in Europe....damn I hope I can climb on these type of ropes when I get to the UK...oh so many changes...I hate bounce....
-
I have had all three 11mm kernmasters...that being said...they are bouncy ropes...not my thing...now cougar blue/or Grey....they are great SRT ropes...but so is PI, Calamine, arrowfrog, aztec, and sumac...which are all yale 24 strand double braids...11.7...all low stretch and tough working ropes...great with ascenders...easy on the hand and visible in tree....

a prussic is a prussic....hmmm don't think so mate...lol

Watched it twice...liked it....Benn is right this is the sweetest vid I seen in a while...

That vid was killer, damn nice rigging.....

Just read through this whole thread....as a climber with my own business leaving Barbados and coming with my wife and family to live in England....seems like I have a lot to look forward too...for climbing and groundwork the proof of the pudding is in the cohesiveness of the two ( climber/groundman combo )...right now I am working with a groundie of very little experience, he can test my wills....my good team disbanded early last year...I have struggled since to train this guy....I look forward to working in the UK with people who share the same passion as myself....I will be getting my tickets and will get all my saws and rigging gear in tact....bringing that stuff over is not an option....I like hanging here....I get along well with UK folks....lol...so from all of this I think a great groundie, who works well with a climber should get paid well, they are invaluable....

Will setup a cannobase tomorrow. Pics will clarify things. Basically use a ring/ring on a solid lower section and thread your line up and through higher limbs you would not like to do a canopy anchor on. Key is to use a couple to spread load.
