  1. water has a nasty tendancy to hide trappy things or create nice sucky mud...you wouldnt want to be in the dropzone and not be able to get out as for the cut id try and go for vee or tee as best you can and let them lay the way they always fall...in the water, strap them up and tirfor them out if you havent got access to any powered assistance
  2. yes..if i HAD to vote it would be an iveco, had a 40/10 that NEVER got stuck and would do 70 (etc) with just me or six folk all gear and full load now have an Iveco 4x4 as a project....if that gets stuck i'll be well damned, it seems to have 'trick' everything now have a panda climbing...yes laugh, i have the last laugh on the steep field on farm, the landy gets stuck the panda, so far, never!!!!!
  3. buy the van YOU like.. yes iveco electrics WERE dicey but not anymore, (usually due to water leak from screen) the renualt WAS no better as it was almost an iveco, yes the fords are underpowered, no they are NOT the same as ivecos, thers nothing wrong with the modern nissan or renault (their the same thing), the mercs and v-dubs are expensive...you pays your money and takes your choice, but its amazing how many 'old' views persist!!!

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
