Yes Rover, one of my staff says that ALL decals relating to safety on the saw should be blue. I think that if it's CE marked, its ok to use and would like clarification. The NPTC couldn't help, the HSE are nigh on impossible to contact unless you'd like to report a fatality (press button 2, I kid you not!) and I don't know where else to try. I know its a cheap sh1t saw, and that the bar/chain suffer most, but... out in the field I know it will be used when its blunt and the engine gets screwed too

Yeah, Doobin appreciate the sentiment but I bought the saw as a 'sacrificial' item that could be replaced annually if necessary instead of screwing my good saws. Its reasonably powerful and used only for this task, never for the forestry tasks we get. I'd love to own Stihls etc right through, but don't have the budget unfortunately, and have to try and run as economically as poss.

Hiya, I have a cheap chinese saw 450mm bought specifically to cut the railways sleepers we use occasionally. The decals showing the warnings are yellow on a silver and black background. One of my staff says all decals must be blue, does anyone know the legal position on this, as I can't seem to find reference to it anywhere. The saw is CE marked and is less than a year old. Thanks in anticipation. Phil
