  1. How important are humans anyway? So what if we die out? Refill the fridge with tinnies, love your friends and families and make the most of everyday. The human race, war lords and politicians will kill us off. Let's introduce bears and wolves into the uk to liven things up ...

  2. I had that with a kingfisher's beak in oak. I bought some wood hardener from b&q and painted it all over the rotten bit (after finishing the piece) only time will tell if I've achieved anything. It worked wonders on some rotten window frames I was repairing year's ago.

  3. I was there the first day too. For making the eyes, they use an eye tool. It's like a router bit with a concave cup end. You bung it in an electric drill and it burns the in the eye. I haven't managed to find any sold commercially. I think most carvers make them themselves or have mates who can make them.

If any one knows how to get hold of set ...

  4. I couldn't cook buns, that takes skill, I hate being in the kitchen. I'm a rubbish cook, hubby is much better than I am. Decorating cakes is the easy bit, you just need to buy the right stuff, read up on techniques and off you go. If you can make models out of plasticine you can do this, it doesn't take real talent like tommy tree carver.

  5. I use 8" dime bar on an ms 192. As a hobby carver and female I need to have good control with minmal weight. I originally had a 12" bar but the 8 inches is easier for me. I'd like to be on an 8" quarter tip with a full house chain, but I don't have the time to research how to achieve this eg filing links etc.
