  1. Water and freezing will not affect the strength of the rope. The biggest risk is UV which is quite observable to eye and usually isn’t much of a risk, especially less than a year outdoors.

But like other have said. If your not sure, then a new ropes not that expensive.

  3. I use both SRT and DDRT, but most of the time its SRT which is personal preference because i love my Runner, anybody who says one is better then the other for everything doesn't know what there talking about imo.

  4. I currently looking to get a working holiday visa in Australia (specifically Brisbane) and just need a few tips on how to go about looking for work etc. its all a bit confusing

I have a level 3 extended diploma in arboriculture and if you can count training over 2 years I have experience there along with roughly 6 months working with my current employer.

The nptc tickets I have are:

CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, Chipper, Pole Pruner, Mewp, Rigging, Stump grinder

Just need a bit of a push in the right direction as its all very overwhelming but something that i'm extremely keen on getting the ball rolling.

Trying to reach out to any employers out there in aus who are reading this or anyone who is employed there!

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

theres Facebook pages for tree work in each state, get yourself on there and you will have a job in no time, like the others said just come over then start looking.

  5. Hi,

I am a forester, UK national, working in Burma. I have been working here in Burma since January this year. We have amazing native forests that are so beautiful. Its not just the forests though that are beautiful. Its how the forests play a part in the everyday lives of the people and animals that also depend on them. I was wondering if people in the UK would like me to organise a trip so you too could see them. Regards. Neil

that sounds awesome, what size trees have you got there?
