Now thats an earner ! years ago North East Farmers( as it was in the day ) produced grass pellets, called it green keil , was brilliant fed to any of our live stock including the horses , sadly dissapeared when NEF went . produce that and get it right in quality and price, you will do well, the closest we get now is lucerne pellets but expensive.

I’ve been itching to reply to this thread, waiting for account activation. Many moons ago the burning of dung was a bit of an issue in the humanitarian aid world, in the hotter drier parts of the dark continent we tried in vain to get the locals to use the stuff as manure instead of fuel,as a fuel it was poor but needs must when there is little fuel, even when dried it is of low calorific value bearing in mind it is grass and maybe a few grains or products thereof that have been digested. We have experimented compressing the stuff into briquettes to extrude to water content, and leaving to dry for months on end. The end result was a poor burning block, not much ash (and not much heat) even tried mixing saw dust and chippings. The picture in the post 15 looks like it’s just been moulded and not compressed. Factoring in the cost and time factor and the need for drying storage I’d personally stick to the original use of “digestive by product “ !
