  1. Thanks for all the comments much appreciated. Think it goin to be a combo 1.7, just because its higher in back than astravan plus the girl kinda likes them which is a bonus.LOL
  2. yeah now i have no idea lol there seems to be alot more choice than i thought, thanks for all the advice. im goin to look into the combo van and the berlingo, if i could afford to run a pick up i would but i figure the van will go up forest tracks no bother and carry all my gear no bother. il upgrade to pickup eventually seen as im part time at scottish school of forestry the vans probs a better choice
  3. Cheers guys. Thought the astral mite be bomb proof same with combo. Had 306 d turbo few years back loved that engine dunno if its in any vans though
  4. car is about to go and thinking of replacing with a van as a pickup is just to expensive to run. so what van? thinking along lines of astra van or transit connect. budget isnt huge 2k mark, any thoughts.
  5. bought a series 3 v8 stage1 gonna be a little project while im looking for work. i must be getting crazy! il try get some photos up at some point for anyone thats interested plan on fitting a winch and using it for some tree work its also gas converted so cheapcheapcheap!
  6. so i studied at kilmarnock college 4 years ago then moved on to my hnc arb at inverness, i left inverness skint and pissed off with not getting what i was promised. now i have cs30,cs31,and cs38 but dont have cs39. now i have done groundwork and have some experience climbing but obviously dont have the certificate to use chainsaw from rope and harness. i plan to put myself through this but will i have to redo my cs38 aswell? kinda wish i never left this line of work but i was young at thought making big bucks was more important. but now im back and plan on getting groundwork and doing some more tickets and also maybe doing my hnd part time. any info anyone has will be awesome as i feel like im trapped in a crap job in halfrauds!!!
  7. cheers guys. was a driller for an underwater explosives company on panama cannal. then on the hudson in new york for 3 months, get sick o bein away 3 -5 months at a time.
  8. well thought i should say hi. been away for a few years working offshore but now im back to tree work, currently looking for work so i can get back into it.
