Well me and my new friend (sthil 024 chainsaw) were getting on great, until today:confused1:
Been working fine all day stopped to refuel and oil and has not worked since.
Cleaned air filter and spark plug, about as far as my expertise goes, still no joy.
If you have any suggestions I would be very grateful.

Thanks for you help and advise chaps.
All sorted now bar etc arrived saturday so hope to get chance to use it this week.

Yep bar, chain, sprocket sorted thanks to Rob, expect them any day. Just need to practice now.

About a day and half roughed out with saw and finished by hand.

Her is a couple of pictures of my first 60% chain sawn budgie, hope someone thinks its an owl, hahaha:001_smile:

Thanks John
general maintenance sounds good, I have worked with our local ranger service a lot over the years I may be able to get some training threw them.
Got sorted with bar, chain and sprocket via Rob D, not too bothered about doing detail with the saw as I would do that by hand.
Cheers
John.

Hi All
just joined the site been woodcarving for 25+ years specializing in classical carving and just started using power tools on my larger works.
I have a Sthil 024 (hardly used) and wondered if I can get a carving bar for it and do I need to change the sprocket to take the new sized chain?
I look forward to sharing ideas and learning some new stuff.
