Thanks for the advice. The stove & flue went in as per the manufacturers instructions and we did get building control to certify. The father in law was so impressed he's got one too!

Hi all, Recently put a wood burner in our house which frankly is the best thing DIY thing I’ve ever done. Also bought a small saw & ppe and so far have been managing to acquire bits of wood here and there to keep it well fed. Question is, is it usual for arb companies to sell everything that’s cut as logs, or is green timber sometimes just waste? Appreciate that selling firewood is a living for lots of people on here, however I dont suppose I’m alone in thinking I could offer a home to small quantities of unprocessed new cut wood that might otherwise get tipped?
