    GCLM are looking to recruit arboricultural staff to work in the Midlands.

     

    Work will be varied and will include ecology support and vegetation clearance.

     

    The applicants should hold some or all of the following qualifications –

     

    Emergency First Aid

    CS30 Maintenance of the chainsaw

    CS31 Fell and process small trees

    CS38 Climb trees and perform aerial tree rescue

    CS39 Using a chainsaw from a rope and harness

    Wood chipper operations

    Brush cutter operations

    Driving License – towing ability would also be beneficial

    CSCS Card – ROLO

     

    Additional qualifications would be an advantage –

     

    M.E.W.P – Mobile elevated work platform

  8. Qualified Stumpgrinder Operator

    We have a vacancy for a qualified experienced stumpgrinder operator for a street tree contract in Sheffield. Applicant must have used large tracked remote machines. Qualifications must include NPTC/ Lantra Stumpgrinding, Abrasive and cutting wheels, CAT and Genny. The work site locations will vary and transport will be provided.

     

    PTS Cutters and Climbers

    We are looking for experienced NPTC CS30/31 chainsaw operatives and CS38/39 climbers to carry out de-vegetation works on the rail infrastructure. Applicants must have valid PTS and experience. Work will be Monday to Friday and will include optional Saturday night shifts. Must be flexible with working hours and have a good positive attitude and work ethic. The work site locations will vary and transport will be provided.

  11. Arboricultural Supervisor

     

    GCLM are looking to recruit a working arboricultural Supervisor to oversee a large non-utility highways contract based in the North Midlands / South Yorkshire area.

     

    Responsibilities will include –

    Oversee and execute site clearance of vegetation surrounding roads, through the use of appropriate equipment.

    Oversee the safe and efficient delivery of contract progress targets

    Reporting and communicating with contract manager

    Overseeing and taking ownership of the risk assessment process and paperwork

    Ensure all tools and equipment are stored appropriately following the completion of each site operation, to ensure no loss of equipment.

    Oversee the maintenance of chippers and equipment, updating relevant maintenance logs as required.

     

    The applicants should hold the following in date qualifications –

    Emergency First Aid

    CS30 Maintenance of the chainsaw

    CS31 Fell and process small trees

    CS38 Climb trees and perform aerial tree rescue
