With Stevenson Tree Services on it?

My guess is it's the caravan borne entrepreneurs.
Bless them, they do try!

Anybody left your employ who still has any company logo workwear?
Nope - I don't think it's anyone that knows me personally

Hi Si,
We have been running Greenmech Chippers on our hire fleet for over a year now, So we do have most parts on the shelf in each depot across the country.
Cheers Kev

She couldn't tell me anything mate - the only thing she made note of was the name.
-
Just out of interest ( sorry don't want to derail - but the break may give people time to calm down lol) - will Orange stock Greenemech parts on the shelf - or will they order from Greenemech as and when?

Hi Guys,
Anyone on here work in and around Haverhill CAMBS ? I have had the following complaint from there last week-
"Very unimpressed at being aggressively sworn at by one of your workers when they were parked on a junction and double yellow lines in Haverhill today. I also had my young son in the car.
All this whilst the driver was in a newsagents.
I note your website states professionalism from your staff. I think maybe this should be re-iterated.
Regards,
@@@@@@@@@@@@"
I contacted the lady and asked her to call me. Although I do work in Haverhill, I was in Bury St Edmunds that on a contract job. I explained I only run one team so it definitely wasn't me. She just seen "Stevenson Tree Services" and googled it. Couldn't give me any details of van, chipper etc.
I am just interested to see if anyone knows any other Stevenson Tree Services in that area - can't find any advertised. If you do I will happily forward them the email!
Cheers
Si

.........now.......what about those clays!!!

Jack I had a Greenmech - great machines, but let down by the parts/ service. For this reason I sold my Greenmech and bought a Bandit. I now have full access to parts on next day delivery from Global - I don't have to go through a tractor dealer. Global also have mechanics constantly on the ground, so in the unlikely event that the machine goes down, I am not left talking to a tractor dealer about a machine he has never seen.
This is just my experience.
-
Marc, I have recently purchased a Bandit 150ld - awesome. Global have been great. Updated me throughout the purchase and answered all my queries in a timely fashion.
I am pulling it with an Iveco 65c. If you want any details pm me.

Another thing to take into consideration is parts and service. See how readily available parts are for the machine you buy and how long it takes to get them. How local is the dealer....does he hold the parts or does he order them in, adding to price/time. Can he fix your machine or is he a tractor dealer?
I didn't research this before I bought my first machine and it cost me time/money.

I had a 90xp on demo a couple of weeks ago. We lined the hopper with as much conifer as we could and then started the rollers. It didn't blink, sucked it all in, in one go. Very impressive machines.
Dean on here (Global Newark) is the man to talk to. I've also know he has some 150LD in that are being overhauled. I'm sure he'd appreciate a skip across the water and taste of the Black stuff! Aye Dean!
You will get varied opinions on here ref weight, price etc. but (IMO)the build quality and performance are second to none. My main concern was dealer support. I visited Global and had a look around the workshop, parts dept and talked through how they support the customer. Very professional indeed.

Sam, see if you get the grinder out on task. Even if you have to hire it for a day. (Negate the hire charge afterwards if you buy it)Better to hire for a day and confirm it cuts the mustard, rather than end up with something that doesn't meet your expectations.

Had a problem this week with a chipper having a problem with top feed roller.. It cant be fixed so spoke to dealer i got chipper off and they said they did not have a new one but could sort me a second hand one... Which was good of them {arbtech}... I decided to speak to chipper manufacturer and the response was crap to say the least. Did not have one in and did not know when they would be getting one, so not much help...
If i was spending 30 grand plus on another i am sure the sales department would of been more helpfull!!!!!
I have already learnt this lesson. I am in the process of buying a new chipper, so I thought I would do my research this time. I went to the dealer of the brand I have chosen and went through the whole "what if" scenario. I met their store men, had a tour of the stores and was shown how parts are deployed same day.
Any problems - phone THEM direct - part(s) deployed.

no chance. Most of the payments have come through without charges anyway, it depends how the sender sends it, so losses should be minimal.
-
Steve, I know it's a long shot, but do you think there is any chance of Paypal waving the charges if it was explained to them why you have had an influx of transactions?
Just a thought, I know they are a faceless company with little chance of corresponding with a human being!!

Cheers Cdo,
Looks like I am behind the time line - we do work slightly backward in the Fens!
Not a good day for the Uk Forces

I don't condone soldiers breaking the rules of engagement......but......before the inevitable onslaught of "he's guilty throw the book at him", please consider this.
Mne A is a trained combatant. Does the military/navy train you as to how you will react in every eventuality? No- it's impossible.
What has Mne A's operation/patrol pattern been over the last X amount of weeks? With reducing numbers and the imminent handover to the ANA/ANP(Afghan police and army) it will be an intense time. This is increased by the fact that the insurgents maybe stood beside him in an ANP/ANA uniform.
What has happened on those patrols/ops? We only hear from Afghan when a soldier dies. We don't hear of the countless soldiers shot, maimed and left with life changing injuries. I challenge the MOD to release the exact amount of our troops with limbs missing.
Please just remember that these guys are normal people underneath all that body armour. They are not robots. Humans react in different ways to different situations. No amount of training can determine exactly how you will react in every situation.
Mne A may have got it wrong, but it's up to the Court Martial to make that decision using all the evidence they have at hand.
I have said it before on this forum .....don't be too quick to judge .......especially if you haven't been in a situation where someone is trying to kill you for 6 months at a time.
Rant over.

Yeh, it was pretty similar to having the Ifor and big grinder on the back. Truck was half full and pulling comfortably
-
Is that a 3.5 ton van your towing it with?
It's a 3.5T it's chipping into - afraid it wasn't mine to tow!
