I would have brought it down a meter or so below the line, or taken it to ground level and offerd a replacement tree, but if people plant these things next to the lines in order to cover the pole or what ever, at some point it will have to be delt with, people moan about the way trees are cut next to lines, but they moan even more if the electric went of when they were in the shower all lartherd up or have no lights for a few hours.

Taking in to acount large crowned trees and small crowned trees,Ivy clad trees and ropes getting tangled and the time it would take to get out ov a tree if both ropes got snagged.Im all up fot health a safety !!

Been selling logs for tha past 4 years and to the point i had to bye a hydro logsplitter, there is a good demand for split wood at the mo , i sell more and more every year, only thing is if we have a big old storm like the one in the late 80s you wont be able to give it away.. sell it while you can:biggrin:

:sneaky2:its funny how many 'proper' tree surgeons come sloping back when domestic work is a bit thin on the ground though.
LOL, i agree, plenty bitching on about it when there is (garden) work out there, they soon get back on the lines when the bottom drops out ov the market:001_tt2:
2 ropes in a tree

From what in know a climber roped in to the regen of a small pollarded POP and it failed, only 10 foot max of the ground, so a non climber sujested it would not have happend if he had a second rope!!!, to me he needed more training on tree hazard id, so the idea ov two ropes is to reduce the likley hood ov falling:confused1:
