    Im based in orpington, kent I Have 1 medium conifer. 1 large laurel stump and 1 small elderberry and 1 dead old stump need all gone do I re-plant in its place. How much should I be looking for the work done? Side access is only a metre wide... just stumps grinded. Anyone feel they can help me out? Ian

    i see what ur saying seems a tricky long trade to get into properly... and with all the equipment and training and expenses to go with it... kinda puts me off the idea.

    well as a gardener in the south i see them everywere........... esp this time of year and the chainsaws can be heard all the time. think these are big companies though..

    is there any by law u need to have though??? i would be starting doing very basic more tree pruning and small felling, as i am a self employed gardener as my job.

    right i was thinking of going into tree surgury, can anyone tell me the minimum certificates i would need, already doing some basic training years ago.
