    Hi ad15: See my post of 4th Feb. We have a yew tree to cut down - photos on post. Might suit one of your screaming boat builders. Let me know as we could probably cut to length as haven't finalised tree surgeon yet. Pinnock Zebedee

    Thank you Tomme9, that sounds like good advice. I'm not sure we can get the root ball out - the tree is close to a shed and wall - but worth asking our tree surgeon.

    We have permission to cut down a large yew tree in our garden. I saw a post from someone with sawn yew wood and several boat builders replied that they were desperate for yew wood in longer lengths. We would like to sell as much wood as possible and could get the tree surgeon to cut to the required sizes. Location: Gloucestershire, Cotswolds
