  1. I don't have an academic qualification in arb, just my practical tickets, and I count myself a tree surgeon. I gain knowledge from reading and working with people more experienced than myself.

Perhaps if I had gone to college and achieved an HND in Arb I may call myself an Arborist.

As it stands at the moment I don't think my lack of academic qualification makes me worth less at my job.

    Same here.

  2. I already have a Stihl chainsaw so am happy with that. My question is from someone who asked me about a Trueshopping Raptor72 Chainsaw 72cc

I said I know nothing about it only that it is probably a cheap occasional use saw but was rather confused as it is 72 cc which is pretty powerful, any pointers/ reviews etc, sorry to ask.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
