  1. Thanks for getting a video sorted, didn't expect it to be as fast a system as it is.

    You most be well chuffed having built that as well. Good job mate.

     

    Tell me, is the chainsaw automatic when you tilt it, or do you have to engage a hydraulic lever for it to cut? Looks like it could be, but couldn't be sure from the footage.

     

    Awh no bother.

    Yep i have to engage a hydraulic lever to start the chainsaw.

    it is the tallest of the levers on the very left hand side of the person operating the chainsaw

    In principal the less moving parts the better but speed control isn’t the issue, you want as much speed as you can get, gearing up the output of a low speed motor may be a better option than a more expensive high speed motor.

     

    Looking forward to seeing this in action as well. :thumbup1:
