  1. Hi thanks for the reply, i would prefer oak, walnut or elm or anything that is of good quality that can be milled. Im looking for some about mid Feb. where abouts are you based?
  2. Hello can anyone help Im after some tree trunks about 8ft x 3ft but dont know the best place to go and purchase them. I make furniture in my spare time, just for friends and family so its not big scale. Im able to cut and remove on site. I have been buying ready seasoned timber from someone local but it very few and far between and is a bit costly. Im based in Essex Any advice would be great.
  3. hello can anyone offer me any advice on where the best place to get hold of a tree trunk so im able to mill up myself, most things considered burr ash maple oak walnut, i make furniture as a hobby and i have just purchased the alaskan mill and looking forward to using it, i understand there is a long drying process , so hopefully i will be able to use next year. thanks any reply would be appreciated

Hello all newbie here, Im after some decent trunks about 36" wide and about 7ft long maybe Oak Maple or walnut, I can cut on site as I have just purchased the Alaskan mill and looking forward to slabbing some larger stuff. Could anyone give me any advise on what sort of price I would expect to pay and also the best place to try and source this type of timber thanks
