  1. Hi again, I apologise for the delay, but I have had other issues to sort out! I live in France, so might be an issue for you guys who wish to purchase the tree? But, it is a good one and I do not wish to cut it up and burn it on the fire! I have had deliveries of tractors and cherry pickers etc from the UK so would assume that a tree trunk could be delivered to the UK. Cheers Montamat Man
  2. Hello to all, I am new to the site and was wondering if anybody out there would be good enough to pass on a little experience to a complete novice in respect of Yew timber. I have just bought a place with 2 hectares of woodland and there is a very old Yew tree in this wood which I believe fell (due to high winds). It fell about 1 and a half years ago. The diameter of the tree is (at the base) approx 1.5 metres and runs for about 4 metres before separating into two branches. Can anybody out there give me an idea on what it might be worth and the best way of preparing the wood for sale? Thanks in anticipation, Montamat Man
