Would that not make a mockery of the whole thing?
Maybe, but paying bills is pretty important. The advice should be crystal clear

This advice says we can go to work if we can't work from home!

Essential work... I’m assuming felling chestnut doesn’t count? Seriously though guys.... is it meant travel to work is ok if you can’t work from home....or is it essential work as in doctoring and the like...?
I read it as if you can't work from home you can go to work

So are there any tree surgery one man bands on here (using subbies as necessary), doing mainly small domestic trees and hedges, with a few small council/public jobs mixed in, which have gone VAT registered?
How did you find it affected your workload?
Did you lose more quotes than before?
Did you have to get an accountant if you didn't have one before?
Yes, I have. You'll always lose out on some quotes because of VAT but generally if you have a good customer base and a good reputation then you should still be busy. I'm lucky to live in an area where there are a lot of trees and a lot of money so usually there is more than enough work. Even if you aren't VAT registered, there will always be someone who will quote cheaper so don't worry about it.

We are a small company working out of Leatherhead who currently have a vacancy for a groundsman with the possibility of going on to becoming a trainee climber. No experience necessary as on the job training will be given but the ability to get to our yard for 7am and a good work ethic is a must.

Mine was built by KMR about 4 years ago, very well built and no problems with it.

Someone more cynical than me might suggest that your boss wants to bring it in house to make sure the right boxes are ticked and jobs aren't held up because of wildlife!

Any help on identifying this fungus would be appreciated. It is at the base of quite a big Eucalyptus. Looks a little like Ganoderma, but I'm not sure. Cheers.
