  1. Sc252 stopped running and poored smoke.

Stripped it down at home because the yard is still with out electric:thumbdown:which was a pain as all my tools are in the lockup but hay ho.

Magnets on the flywheel seem to have indulged in an orgy and the staytor caught light with excitement.

Thought id stick a new exhaust on and deal with the broken stud while I was at it.

Big thanks to B trac

Found the cause of the problem wedged behind the stator

  2. I was blocked in parked on the street outside my house by somebody who had pulled right up to my bumper and left half a car length of space between them and the double yellows behind them. I got my trolley jack out, dragged their car onto the yellow lines and left it there. :001_smile:

If you can get all 4 wheels on old shovels 2 blokes can drag a car a good 50 yards without breaking a sweat.

  3. Pat is the yard without power coz of the storm or have you not hooked it up yet bud ? Bad news on them burnt coils ...

Not sure why the power to the units is out probably the storm but I know the power company are clearing lines near by so may have been a shut down.

  4. That is a bit of a Kohler thing Pat. I have done a couple of those. Did the flywheel come off easily?

Yeah I just gave it a few light taps in a circular fashion and Bobs your uncle

A tutorial on youtube says place a business card between the coil and flywheel for clearence, does that sound about right to you ?
