  1. Cheers Frankie, Can see the sense in CS38, never gave CS32 much thought to be honest...but you've set the grey stuff ticking!! Will look into it Thanks again, Dave
  2. Mornin Everyone, Newbie dipping his toe in the Forum. Can find very few threads on CS45 Arborist Groundworker qual on here, the ones I have found dont rate it and they are from 2008, could it have changed?. Read the content City & Guilds have on it, hard to say, hence this thread. Im looking to do this to increase my earning power basically, Im a self employed qualified Dry Stone Waller, but also tackle a bit of Hedgelaying, Thinning Out, Scrub Clearance, Pesticide Spraying etc. I reckon at 48 im too old to be doing CS38/CS39 (even though im fit) so getting more Groundwork knowledge would seem to suit me better, assisting climbers etc. I have CS30/CS31, PA1/PA6, NPTC Brushcutter, Lantra Hedgelaying and other Quals and experience. Dont want to waste my time and money, so any comments or advice would be welcome. Cheers, Dave:thumbup:
  3. Hello Everyone,

Newbie dipping his toe in the water!!

Have been reading through various topics/threads and Im well impressed with the knowledge/advice posted on here and a good bit of light hearted banter never goes wrong either.

Im based in the North East as a Self Employed Dry Stone Waller (Intermediate Qualified), do a bit Hedgelaying, Tree Maintenance, Scrub Clearance, Pesticide Spaying etc.

Did Lantra Chainsaw basic a while back, then passed CS30/CS31 in August. I mainly thin out brash to get to the walls, with occasional requests from customers to do a bit extra thinning or felling small trees, any bigger stuff I pass on to those more qualified and experienced!

I would like to give myself a bit more earning power, so with that in mind I was contemplating doing CS45 Arborist Groundworker Qual. coz basically I reckon im too old at 48 to be doing CS38/CS39, even though im fit as a butchers!

Any thoughts or comments would be welcome.

    Cheers,Dave:thumbup:
