  1. Hi guys, sorry for starting a new thread but i couldnt find anything on TSE. I'm looking for a website that tells you the specifications ( of carburettors to be specific) of different year model of chainsaw. I've seen it posted somewhere before, but i think it was on another board. any help would be much appreciated.

    troubled stihl

thanks for that, the 262 is sorted with help from a friend. I had a look at the stihls carb and it seems the needle thing is somehow fused into its seat, there was quite a bit of rust around so i imagine that it is the culprit. trying to release it i only managed to remove the little protruding bit so it is well and truly stuck. Im going to keep trying to get it out, but just in case i fail (which i reckon is quite likely), does anyone know of an online source for carburettors? namely a walbro wt325a\ many thanks

    troubled stihl

hello everyone, im having some trouble with a stihl 017 chainsaw. The cause was that for some reason there was substantial amounts of black coloured water in the fuel tank (dont ask ) and after first running erratically, then cutting out on opening the throttle, it stopped starting and then it acted as if it was seized. I freed it up and i can pull the starter cord but for some reason i cant compress the throttle. I opened it up a little bit, and the part on the carb that the lever pushes is really stiff and can only just be moved using other methods. apologies if this has been covered elsewhere on this board, i searched but couldnt find anything relevant. any help or ideas would be much appreciated. also, on a side note. I have a husqvarna 262xp that needs its carb spruced up but im not sure how to find out the date the saw was made, and therefore the make of carburettor. any ideas? thanks
