Have recently moved to Cornwall, Camborne/Hayle area. Looking for a cubic metre or so of seasoned hardwood, or any recommendations for a supplier. Bought a load before Christmas but they're too wet to burn. Happy to come and collect in transit tipper.

Spurs fan here, still buzzing!
-
I'm interested if its worth milling

Looks fantastic! Can't help thinking you need a more appropriate vehicle to tow it with other that a manitou!

Yeah I go to Davenport as well. Can't remember how much to do my Lucas blades but it was pretty reasonable

A friend of mine sometimes does foraging walks around this area, amazing what you can find. Particularly nice was the sea aster on the banks of the Avon

Hi there I've got hold of the plans. They're for a VB 42 not a 48 though. Can scan and email to you if any use?

I use one for raising logs onto blocks for the Lucas mill. Got to be careful though, got whacked on the ear with several tons of oak on it once. The dog walker that came past a few minutes later must've heard me screaming the woods down

Too far for me but sounds like a great idea! Believe there's something similar going on in Manchester

Talked to a couple of sparkys, thought it had to be power provider, assuming it'll need a new meter

Looking to get 3 phase put in my new workshop. The farmer who I'm renting it off had agreed to pay for the materials needed if I pay for the labour. Probably only running one machine at a time so might be more cost effective to buy a phase convertor.
Wondering if anyone might have an idea of cost, not sure what's involved exactly. Assuming I will have to contact the power provider. The pole is very near the consumer unit and apparently there was 3 phase on the farm years ago for the milking equipment.

Where is it?

A lager printer? Sounds great!

I've just had a grinder onto my in feed rollers and it's made a HUGE difference. They need to be fairly sharp to be good.
Did you get the rollers out to sharpen then or do them on the machine? My blades are sharp but machine gets jammed more often than it used to

As a spurs fan I'm waiting for then to lose every week but fair play they keep getting the results. Best premier league season ever as far as I'm concerned.

I know some people with a shared woodland near Wells who may be into it. I will ask them. Is it a course that Mike is teaching?
-
I got it too. Theres a good bit about an early Norwegian chainsaw dealer cutting the newspaper editors desk in half after unfavourable feedback

I think someone at Redwood must have read this thread. I received a phone call from Vince this morning saying they'd ordered a batch in and could send one out today. £25 and he didn't charge me the carriage
