  1. Apparantly Olivers Tree Services, from Durham have been to the rescue again, saving a Buzzard chick, and putting it back in the nest. Anyone heard anything about Buzzards around Durham?

  2. Something similar happened to my T125 last year. Not a railway sleeper pin but something big, metalic and nasty went in. (couldnt recognise the remain after). It damaged both blades, ripped anvil clean off and put a small dent on the inside fan casing. There were a few small gouges on the fan itself.

cost was a new anvil (about £8) some new bolts (about £3) some severe blade sharpening (about £25) and the cost of seeing the face of the bloke who had to sharpen the blades (priceless).

Something 'big'??? a 50p piece could be classed as that with a 125!

  3. Hi, wondered if anyone is running these, whats your views on them good/bad/indifferent, i have been looking at a 12v set up, not really interested in pto or hydrualic as it will only be for occasional directional felling assistance and timber recovery from wet boggy areas where i cant get the atv into, spool in speed isnt important so happy enough with the retrevial speed of this model

also views on the rope type appreciated as well, wire or synthetic?

    Cheers

ps, if your going to use the winch for directional felling, do you think it will be fast enough? Also, chech the rating on the winch, they are not designed for continuous use and can burn out easliy..

  4. Have a listen to it, turn the gate does it sound gritty? Fill a bowl of HOT soapy water, hold the karab gate in the water and swish back n forth so the water goes into the gate. let cool and dry. Using HOT water not only gets rid of grease, but helps it dry. When I clean them I hold them with cloth/glove (cos it is hot not warm)
