It depends on the job entail. I don't mind climbing with a 880 when chop and dropping a big single stem. But it comes down to what's good for the climber

Ian based in south east London and my stihl dealer is the mutts nuts. And I have all ways used stihl. And when it comes to chains I carry 4 chains to each saw so I don't have to sharpen on site.

You know everyone has "fixed" a slab like his videos too haha
It's just a bit of banter really, I mean if we can't have a laugh about our jobs what can we do?
It's all in good fun

I can't find reference to this coville vs finch overhanging apple tree case, nor does it ring any bells for something I've heard of. Can anyone confirm the names please as I think one or both are misspelled (did I just mispel mispelt then???).

Common sense does normally prevail in reality, i agree. I also consider myself reasonably experienced in this topic.
Some people just think there all ways right and don't like it when they get confronted and 20 years in this industry is no short time for me.

Errrr, if its the councils tree and their land and the arb is engaged by them there is no issue.
Accepted but equally there is no reason someone should pat for the disposal of another's waste
It cant be guaranteed to determine the matter but it will be a huge factor.
Its a well established fact that the arising's belong to the tree owner
And when doing park works and adjacent trees in neighbours property over hang in the park we simply don't cut them and leave the in the garden.

Mate that's free advice from a legal firms website, couched to keep them liability safe and designed to get you to call them so they can start charging you, its not the law that you promised.
The point here is that the arising's belong to the tree owner and, along with the tree are their legal and moral responsibility.
There is no reason the neighbour should have to pay for the disposal of the branches, so the tree owner should have them back or pay for the disposal particularly when that can be a major part of the job.
Sorry MATE but I have a chipper so disposal is not a problem for me.

It is industry standard practice, if contracted to remove overhanging branches from a neighbors tree we chip & dispose at the expense of the client over who's land the branches hang, ( we are obliged to ask the tree owner if they want the arrisings, they rarely do).
Anyone arguing to the contrary is just misinformed, or argumentative.
Thank you

Is that a "law book"?
and if you read it, it says "yours to dispose of", that doesn't say you cant return it to the owners property.
No that's a respective property law firm. 🙈

You can charge the neighbour for costs regarding disposal and judge will favour the plaintiff/ (non tree owner).

You can ask the neighbour if he wants them back but if he says no then you can't simply throw them over in his property
