  2. Back to the Tale!...After leaving London this morning I went up to see Delabodge near Twyford to see if he could help me dress up a lump of English Elm i had in the pick up.It came from a tree that had split in half in a London Park a year ago and was an Emergency call out....after the clear up was done I salvaged a piece fom the crown break and as usual carted it home on my bicycle (it's all on the thread...somewhere) so here is the Before picture...

i remember seeing that piece of wood?,if i remember rightly, i picked them up on my last ever day in london (22/07/13) i believe, to be transported up north as you could not take them on the train.i picked them up from your place near kew gardens, then we went for a nice bacon sandwich before i dropped you and your bike off at work. that piece of wood has done a fair few miles paul, all been transported by that truck of yours. i miss that truck....

  3. i have carbon spikes and they have lasted well for me.. ands still going well, i have no complaints about them what so ever, i am very careful though when i use them, put them on under the tree and take them off after i have finished with them under the tree, which means i never really walk around in them on the ground. there are people on here that have had sets last years and years,

  4. A mates got an Adventura 08 plate never worked used as a car but done 113k miles only selling as he getting a company truck. Can get it half the price of a. 59 plate tekna with 70,000

Should I be put off by the mileage? I only do abt. 8,000 miles year.

When i was looking for one, i looked everywhere. I regularly saw them over 150,000 miles and looked in good condition too

  5. mine is great, i have the aventura model,it has the usual gadgets but the only thing it has not got is a headphone jack to plug your ipod into. does anyone know if you can get one fitted? it also has a 6 speed gearbox, as normal 5 speed trucks are revving quite hard on the motorways i think

  6. Hey Paul, Hope you are ok? Since the weather outside is horrible.. I decided to just browse some pictures on my laptop of our climbs we used to have when we were both in London, weather we were up that skinny poplar up that nice English oak tree or that massive London plane tree which was our favorite, underneath the flight path to Heathrow airport, Where your favorite airliner the a380 was a regular occurrence? What do you recon of this photo that I found of an emirates a380, it really does show the shear size of aircraft that used to fly effortlessly over our heads when were up that massive plane tree carrying 450 passengers and weighing in at over 500 tonnes, coming from all corners of the world.

i never thought I would say this but part of me actually misses London, but would never return though... because of all those massive trees in and around London, along with some great bike rides along the river Thames with our climbing kits trying to search out for a nice tree to climb with the go pros attached also. Some great memories in London mate, also lets not forget about the fact we both had family in London also and where this thread came to life. Also where your thread made its first video... :-) we had some great times together in London mate, I am look forward to the next time we meet up and go for a climb, all the best mate

  7. The wood will be available early next year, i have 50 tonnes of oak, ash and sycamore in lengths of 8ft and upto 2ft round which was cut around a year ago, there is good access for a lorry, but you will have to arrange transportation from the location of the wood, The location of the wood is south lincolnshire.

    i am open to offers
