looking to get a big saw 28"+ bar and wondered what was best ? 395xp?
Any advice gratefully recieved.

bet there'll be less break ins and dodgy tree topping / fly tipping in the area whilst they're all busy keeping the police out...

where's the best place to get mesh sacks for logs online?

Wifes gone out so going to try the dishwasher on a low heat but take the ear defenders off first...

whats the biggest bar/ chain i could get away with on a husqvarna 372 xp?

Alright mate,
how much you looking for for a days work? Run a business just outside plymouth and get pretty busy this tim of year and we sometimes need an extra pair of hands. Would probably just be ground work as i usually do all the climbing.
cheers.

dump it all back. you'll feel alot better. sod all the police can do.
Had the same thing a few years back with a eucalyptus- took it back to blokes driveway. he paid too!
-
3 blokes with chipper + getting rid of chip etc. How much do you reckons a fair price for a days work.?
Been doing this a fair few years now and beginning to think i'm too cheap - get 9/10 jobs i quote for ( in a small area - south west eng) and running costs etc going up daily beginning to think its time to charge more for work!

Go with Abbey/Santander. It's free. Been self employed for 12 years and never payed a penny in charges. They give you postal pay -in envelopes (freepost) so you never have to go to bank. you can pay in cheques at a cashpoint too for free.

I always do written quotes for jobs that are a days work or more. Its a pain in the arse to do but makes it easier in the long run. you can refer customer to quote if they get funny or try it on (as is quite common). Had a bloke accuse me of stealing his ash logs once so got him to read back the quote to me over the phone- he quickly apologised. 'removal of all wood from site'.
Be worth billing the person who wanted the tree down for the time you spent doing half the tree. A builder or plumber wouldn't think twice about doing it.

that's ok. just starting to look at other options - the one you've got looks like
the sort thing i need.

any joy on the roof bar front?
-
Bought the very same about a year ago. Great saw and had no problems with it - bit thirsty but goes through anything like a knife through butter!
-
ok cheers
-
Any luck with those roofs bars yet? How much did you want for them?
-
ok thanks, if you could tell me the size when you get it back from your mate and how much you're looking for it that'd be good.
Cheers

would it fit a single cab Hilux?
-
anyone know of any kind of roof racking that you can get for a toyota hilux ?- would be handy for putting ropes, saws , blower etc in if truck is packed full of timber or chip. have seen little roof bars but they don't look much good for anything....
Any suggestions..?

thanks for replies - i'll give it a good clean out tonight.

The rollers on my timberwolf 150 have moved slightly and the gap between them increased meaning that it doesn't pull in and grab branches as well as it should . is this a common problem and is it easily fixed?
Any advice appreciated.
