  1. Since when has a landrover been reliable and economical?

the newshape l200 are both and the oldshapes are more economical than landrovers and alot more comfortable to drive

IMO theres nothing that good about a landrover untill its had alot of money spent on it modding it

I've had two L200 and id have plenty more they are great trucks like everything service it well and look after it theres nothing wrong with the body work its not as bad as landrovers atleast you cant see rivets landrovers are unrefined and the new ones are even worse a mate of mine had a l200 and bought a landrover hes kept the l200 and hardly uses the landrover because he doesnt like it and another one bought one brand new and it broke down the first day he had it

  2. I have an 05 warrior and I can name only 1 fault, which is the fuel consumption. Other than that I use it for wood deliveries and also for towing an Ifor 105t trailer all about the country. I love it.

I service it myself for a fraction of the price a garage would service it for.

Put the right Tyres on it and it will go anywhere.

Well said that man I've had an 02 plate animal and now a newshape 56 animal both great trucks I've driven newshape trucks with 150k on them and they still drive like new if you just want a single cab look at the newer shape as there alot better on fuel than the oldshape both trucks have been great i service myself regular and never had a problem

  3. the jo beau m300 went for £1660 if i cant get one for that money i'll sell my entec 16/100 chipper drop feed its a brillaint chipper.

I need a smaller chipper i can roll on to my trailer and have my trailer onsite at the same time. i often take fencing materials and clear the site with the chipper if i could get a chipper like the gm or jo beau i could get it on the trailer and make one journey

  4. Hey there,

Thanks for the reply. We're looking to make some sort of cord rack, we'll pile it on with our little crane. Then the cords roll down one at a time onto a roller based (like a boat trailer) conveyor that we operate manually (not hydraulic) & pull the timber along to a gimble mounted petrol driven saw to cut to our desired length. The cut round then drops into a splitting troft where a hydraulic ram working off an auto kick out lever will split the round into logs & push the split logs onto a conveyor & take them away to drop into bags for firewood,or into the storage area for the kiln.

Proper Heath Robinson but will be massively cheaper & easy to tinker with as we find what needs to be changed & adjusted.

I understand what everyone says about buying one. But it's on deaf ears,we wont buy one, they're stupidly expensive & we're quite capable of building something ourselves for a fraction of the costs. Plus, we like doing things ourselves.

They told us we'd never get planning permission to build our house in the woods too & we did. Then they told us we'd never be able to build it ourselves as we had no experience, & we are. They told us we'd never build it to such a low budget & keep it within building control regs & we are. They told us we'd never build the house, manage the woods & produce enough firewood manually to keep up with demand. THEY WERE RIGHT, SO A PROCESSOR WE WILL BUILD!

Come on anyone with a home made machine, get ya pics out for the gal!

:001_smile: haha I like you. I would say your a very determined person no one will stop you making your own. I havent built a processor but id be very interested in pics of your house build.

  5. Ive thought about doing this ive built a couple of bespoke ones in different situations but could build a sectional log store easy enough just need to look into pricing as theres alot on ebay that are cheap but then you pay for quality... the one i built at home has a slate roof and one for a friend holds about 8 cubic metres.

Im based in the midlands so could possible deliver myself or send via pallet or courier

  6. are your leaving the brick showing? or boarding it which will give you less clearance. id go for the rear flue and get it out into the room it is possible to do it yourself and get it approved by the council building control i believe to get it signed off. my parents had theres done by an approved installer and we never got a certificate and the plaster cracked and feel off in the end i ended up re building it. and just done another one for my mate.

  7. Are you sure there counterfeit saws they look pretty genuine to me conterfeit saws dont look that like the real thing and also stihl makes saws in china so why shouldnt there be genuine chinese companies selling genuine saws not everything that comes from china is conterfeit
