  1. CHeers Lads, I am in the process of putting the quote together now. If he wants rid of the knobber who is doing it now he'll pay me to do it, and judging by the current standards, they will definately see what they are paying for.
  2. thanks mate, As I said £15 is what I usually charge although that is more on private work as opposed to commerical. Fairplay the guy gave me the sob story about money being tight etc, but I have done some background and do know there turnover so they aren't that hard up. The reason I am quoting is tht he has fallen out with the other contractor, who takes the arthur bliss on the work....
  3. Hi Guys, I know this has been covered before, but I would like some further clarification, to make sure I have this correct in my mind. I have been approached to do a quote for a rural retreat. Its looking after there lawns and hedges. Nothing particularly taxing, and there is very much the chance of extra work as they are looking at developing a further 3.5 acres. Now I usually charge £15 per man hour and this would require 2 pers for a day every 2 weeks from April through to Oct. This works out over 16 fortnights in that period - £3840 5 single day visits from Nov to March - 1200 2 x 2 days of hedge cutting per annum - 960 add 10% for running costs Total £6600 DOes that sound a fair price? They are a charity organisation and thought of throwing in 1/2 day a month voluntary work as a sweetner, and as I said there is potentially alot of other work to come from it.... Any thoughts?
