  1. seems I was a little too quick to posting the problem - I got the new springs and seems to have done the trick - at least the post is here if someone else has the same problem! Many thanks
  2. hi, I bought a second hand Stihl MS260 and am having problems with the chain creeping/moving when it is idle. At first I thought it was a problem with the tuning but adjusting just meant that it stalled. So I cleaned the carb, replaced diaphragms and seals and now its running smooth. I have the L screw as low as it will go without stalling and even have taking the LA screw out so really is on min throttle but the chain still creeps. Chain tension is correct and I am going to replace the clutch springs and fit new sprocket later today just in case they are catching. I'm running low on ideas now, Has anyone had a similar problem or can suggest what else to look at? any thing is grateful!
