  1. Hi Mark Had a quick play today, Friday, Noticed that the High screw was only 1 turn out instead of 2 as per the workshop manual, changed the high to 2 turns out, set the low to 2.5 turns out, that was pretty close anyway. Seemed to run a lot better although no wood to cut at the moment. I reduced the tickover to around 3000 rpm which is a little above the 2900 in the manual but it seems comfortable there. I checked the high RPM at around 12000 which is a little lower than the 12500 - 13000 in the manual. I`m happy with that at the moment and I could increase latter after running the saw a bit more. Need some wood now to put some more fuel through the saw. Did you get yours running any better ? Cheers Paul
  2. Hi Mark I`ve not had time to have a play yet - hopefully tomorrow. What I did while waiting for the driver to arrive was to up the tickover (just needed a flat screwdriver) slightly and at least now it is not stalling on tickover. I will have to check the rpm with my tach when I have a decent look. I`ve got the pdf manual if you need a copy for the initial settings - from memory I think both high and low are about 2.5 turns out. Cheers Paul

  8. Just tracked one of these down - have ordered and will update when it arrives, Cheers
  9. Hi Had this tool delivered today and I can confirm it does not fit the MK2. At least not my MK2. It does fit my MK1 though. Initially I thought the original tool was too larger a diameter and slipped over the splined shafts. After removing the starter cover and top cover to enable a slightly better look it appears as though the tool is just going over the top of the splined shafts but only by about 0.5mm. It is not going down the splined shafts and engaging with the splines. I have been given another part number which I have tracked down a tool and will update when it arrives. Cheers
  10. Thanks - If I don`t come up with the right tool I think this may be the way forward. Its is under warranty and I`m waiting for the supplier to get back to me. Thanks
  11. I have a similar 6 piece set which fits EVERYTHING except the MK2 435. We have various brands of equipment and my little set fits them all. Cheers
  12. Yes run it for about 1 hour off and on but not brilliant. I had my old 435 MK1 to hand and finished the job with that. I`ve contacted a couple of dealers inc L&S who have replied - "Thank you for your email. I can confirm this is the same one for your chainsaw. I have included the parts diagram & workshop manual for you. 530 03 55 60 - Carb Adjustment Tool" I have ordered this one as my current tool is part of a set from Amazon or Ebay so I have no part number. I did stress that the tool for the Mk1 did not fit. I will update when it arrives. Thanks Paul
  13. Same problem - I have a brand new 435 and used it on a small job last week. Run very poorly - cutting out, not ticking over properly and sometimes reluctant to rev. If I can`t sort a tool I will return to supplier and let them sort it. Cheers
  14. Hi Thanks for the info - any idea of a part number and/or supplier
