  1. Sorry for the late reply, could well be the coil, I have an HS80 hedge cutter runs perfect from cold for about 8-10 mins then just cuts out.

Checked everything, once it cooled it ran fine again for same amount of time. Finally frustrated after 3 or 4 times, I pulled the plug and checked the spark straight away, sure enough NO SPARK:thumbdown:. Soon as it cooled down I checked again and the spark was there.:confused1:

Never came across this before, usually thought a coil just went down, never intermittent, but on closer inspection HS80 coils have sealed resistors, diodes etc in them. Must be these breaking down.

    Hope this helps.

PS, Does anyone have a cheap new HS80 coil sitting on a shelf they want to sell.

  2. If you haven't access to oxy acetelyene or a welder (my first choice of tools), soak bolts in wd40 or diesel then give each bolt a few good taps with a hammer on the head. Use a hammer and sharp chisel on the edge of the bolt head to drive the bolt round, once moving you may be able to use grips etc.

  3. Had a standard Sandisk with my cannon digital camera, upgraded last year to a Sandisk Ultra 11 2gb couldnt believe how much faster it was. I would highly recommend Sandisc Ultra or Extreme. You sometimes do get what you pay for!:thumbup1:

  4. steve, be a bit careful here, any road will need planning, if your out the way of people who like to complain then you may get away with it, if its land you will be on for along time then try & get some big hardcore down deep before moving on to crushed stone, im unsure of your exact area but theres a skip firm south of nutley, just before maresfield bypass that should be able to supply you with some big stuff, failing that send me a mssg, i work for several skip firms a bit further up the a22, the ground is very wet too be doing any thing with at the mo but terram and small stone will work out very expensive, dont go paying much for bulky hardcore, you may be asked to cover the haulage thats all thou!! feel free to shout if you need any help, cheers

Pull out the wet slop back to solid ground, infill with large brick/concrete rubble, top it off with type 1 material/ crushed stone/ brick / planings. If you put a good thick base layer in I wouldnt even bother with terram. If you go down the recycled material route it will work out alot cheaper. Just make sure its clean though, no wood, nails rebar etc. Else it works out expensive on your tyres:thumbup1:

  5. Just a thought, if the 200tdi has a vacuum pump like the 300, it could be this leaking oil from the backplate. The rivits holding it in place pop off. I have repaired one before by tapping out the holes and putting m5 cap screws in place.

Also the plunger that operates the vacuum pump is driven off the camshaft. The end of the plunger can get pitted/ worn if staved of oil this causes a bad knocking noise which increases with revs.

    Hope this may help.
