  1. I did see on your profile that you are a fellow biker and wondered what you rode.

    Here's my toy:

Janey, I'm all about cars... never really been into bikes but that is absolutely beautiful!

Make a video of starting her up :)

  2. I have thought quite hard about posting this, but i feel i cannot hold back.

Dire straits are inexcusably untalented and IMO should be banned.........sorry, I dont mean to cause offence either.

Haha. We're all entitled to our own opinion are we not? I'm not going to hate on you or call you out of order for expressing your own opinion like some on here may do :thumbup1:

  3. Don't need to see a FB to see it's effects. L. Sulphureus is a heart wood brown rotter. Plenty of brown rotted heart wood there!

But it could be something other than L. sulphureus causing brown rot?

Surely that way of identifying the cause of decay isn't very reliable?

There are many different fungi that cause brown rot?

I know Hamadryad has a proper explanation for his ident... I just don't understand how you can be 100% sure of the fungus that caused the rot, just by seeing some rot that could be caused by a number of brown rotters? In this case anyway, as you can't see any fruiting bodies..?

Really sorry to hear mate.

I'll keep a look out for you as I also live in Northants

Do your saws have any distinct markings?

  5. For one of my lectures we visited part of the Althorp estate in Northampton.

As you can see by the pictures there was some beautiful standing deadwood (well, strangely there was some living limbs on it), and some beautiful specimens of Dryad Saddles.

Straight away thought of you Hamadryad.
