I was told bymy accountant the if Joe Blogs who was employed didn't have it then we couldn't claim, this was for personal health insurance, ie off work no pay insurance. You can draw as much as you wish from your business account, if it happens to land in an isa or kids account (non taxable) then there was nothing the tax man can do about it, bit like it used to be ie new machinery/vehicle purchase at end of tax year!

Hi guys was looking at old posts and wondered how if any having ISO 9001 has helped your business in the past year, do you feel it was worth doing or extra work you have picked up or for having the peace of mind that you have better paperwork?? Just curious.

Oh someone to buy me a drink in that case I fancy trying the new Baileys and coffee, then if its euch I haven't wasted my pennies.

I would just like to say in Buzz defence that he kindly sent me through a document before I went on holiday because I hadn't the time to sit down for hours and think it out for myself, this is where this thread comes in handy.
Surely Andy the above is taking it to extreme if its only you and your groundie/climber, does that meant if a bit of a saw is broken you have to stop everything and go fill in a form to get it repaired, surely a large amount of cursing always attracks the attention of your bud as to what is wrong??

Hi can you help, what do I need to put on an enviromental policy apart from bio fuels/oils etc and that we carry pollution kits? Do I need to go as far saying we recycle paper in the office etc? Any help would be good as I need to do this in a hurry as I'm off on hols tommorrow. Or if someone would like to let me peek at theirs??/
Thanks

Ok you do the job, no-ones there so you letterbox their invoice, being nice customers the cheque comes back by return with your invoice attached. Now what do you do (apart from bank the cheque) do you receipt the invoice and send it back or fling into either bin for files? Never can decide what the customer expects, if it was me I would put the invoice no. on the cheque and keep invoice. Hmm

so as you do i made him think he was geting the best part of the deal so he said he take 2 loads pay for one and give me the saw for the other
Yes I think that it is a bit of a rip off we all know how much a 357 costs, and how much for a load of firewood, you could always (when going back with the firewood) say that the second load will be done for half price then perhaps you will get repeat business. because once his son finds out what he has done he may never be back!.

I hope that Highland Forestry has budgeted into the equation the cost of doing the skidder courses and the courses to drive the machines. I've just spent £600 on assesments alone for my 2 guys!

yes full chisel is the one we use too.
Jonsie will give your guys a call, thanks.

crawlers need low loaded, counties do about 12mph, you cover a big area matt, if i were you i would bo for the mog winch machine in clasifieds. 3 seats, 50mph, 2 remote control winches on it, you can put a chip box and get a chipper mounting on the back blade aswell.
Doing 12mph you will need to leave the day before you need to get there! So low loader cost are not ruled out whatever.

Anyone know where you can get CHEAP rolls of Stihl 404 chain?

Sounds like a company that tried to get money from us PFA media also Liverpool, they sent bills to a crappy home computer generated brochure which was wrong, then tried through their own debt collection company commercial credit but we passed on to TS and sent letters to telling them to get lost eventually they gave up. So stick to your guns and they should give up.

tut tut lads when dose the Inland revenue ever give you a rebate
yes but when you fill in their form with your bank details, etc they then take money from you. Some of the requests actually ask you to pay HMRC this way too.
-
Anyone else had an email from the inland revenue telling them they have had a tax rebate and to fill an attached form and send it back.....DONT its a really good scam, as it looks genuine. Send the email as an attachment to [email protected] who will deal with it.

Really wanted to go but got a job to do which has to be Saturday only, so you'd better take loads of picks for me.

Are you not affraid that you sell more than you have? How do you work it all out..when you sell a load do you put them into a pre sold pile so you know what you have left?

Yew logs
in General chat
Posted
Hi I have some Yew logs I have only measured one which is 51"(130cm) length x 12"(30cm) diameter apart from the about 6" at one end. I have someone interested (for furniture making) but no idea of what to charge. Can anyone give me a sensible price to ask, or a figure to work to per Cm3
Thank you
