All you have to do to check the bonnet bump stops is put a 17mm socket over the sensor. At least that’s the case on the ST8.

I will have a look on YouTube for the starter solenoid thingy..

Yeah weve got that , even though the sensors working still not starting . Thank you mick

I have found Redwood to be very helpful on the phone, usually an engineer will walk through any issue with you.

They did have a big issue with faulty ignition barrels, do you know how to short the starter solenoid?

Yes I have spoke with redwood And been through all the relevant procedures and they do not know what it is .ive notified them that the bonet bump stops have basically peeled off the fiberglass . Sent numerous photos to them and have basically been ignored . I’m assuming as there not willing to provide a new bonet  just because of that . Either way I’m making sure the sensor pad is lined up when I turn the key but still nothing

no I don’t know how to short the starter solenoid

  6. Theres loads of these out there ! there easy to deal with , if they dont want your price initially then get someone else , there always room for a bit of barter and a deal but some of these people want it for nothing ! simply walk away!  8 times out of 10 you will win as you walk !

in this case myself would be inclined to say keep your money ,Thank you very much .

He will probably pay you the original price by the time the conversation ends.if he doesnt you can walk with your head held high,

Hes just trying it on mate ! hope you get sorted

ps tell him happy new year aswell , just to rub salt in the wound  kill him down with kindness!

  7. I am having a mare with my st6p , at 40 hours the top feed roller, came out of the housing , smashed all the casings up , ripped off both pipes and landed hydraulic oil all over my customers driveway, redwood sent out a third party to fix it which they did , now at 70 hours its done the same again, great machine when working .But twice in a couple of months im having to put jobs forward because of machine issues.  i appreciate that redwood will rectify but its just the hassle that i could do without

Thinking about calling it a day myself..this week had 60t stone tipped on a job then get a call in the evening from customer to say wrong colour despite agreeing beforehand, another customer i've been chasing for £5k says he's sent to someone else who had an email address similar to mine and asked him to send to another account, air suspension knacked on the rover towing dumpers and rollers about the place, had a speeding fine come through for the van this morning and turns out it was me driving at the time (fair cop) and to top it all off red diesel delivery didn't come this afternoon so went to the garage in the car, filled all the jerry cans i could muster on the way back went to pass a lorry with someone else behind me got to 60 then lost all power and all the dash lights on the jag lit up. Nearly had someone slam into the back of me on the wrong side of the road with 150l of red in the boot!

Thinking of going shelf stacking for a bit :)

I think its one of them moments in time for you lee! it will pass mate  and all will be rosey again! hope you get it sorted bud!!

Had the quietest spell in five years recently but sun is out and phone is ringing again, I always find start of spring slow due to nesting and sap rising. Chin up dan, might be worth just hanging on a bit as you never know what’s around the corner. But good luck to you.

Thanks alex, as i said it has picked up a bit , maybe I'm to hungry for it!
