I'll keep an eye out too but I should think they're long gone!

Atkinson Vos Ltd Mercedes Unimogs - Specifications
Off Atkinson`s web site, it does not list a 1450, but does list a 1250 which I believe is the same bar engine output, gives a 4210kg dead weight, but I think that is for a basic chassis cab, so the 3290kg payload stated would have to include weight of body, rear linkage, pto etc.
I think skyhuck on the money at around 5000kg tare with body, chipper if mounted would have to be added to that, so with a heavy chipper of a 1000kgs, would give you 1500kg capacity.
Thanks, that's not a lot! It must be hard to stay on the right side of the weight limit!
-
I would think not, are they not 7500KG GVW, I think empty they will be getting close to 5000KG.
Is there a PTO chipper fitted? another 1000KG+?
Thanks, do you have any suggestions as to where I can find the technical data on the internet?
-
Does anyone know the load capacity of a 1450? Am I right in thinking it's 3290Kg.

Thanks for the replies, Ben Burgess sold theirs a while ago and have no plans to replace it.

How does £45 per ton (including delivery) of mixed seasoned hard and soft wood sound?

Tried calling with no luck so sent you a text. Rupert

Before I get in contact with one of the government bodies, I'd like to know if anyone knows the laws/legislation on the storage of wood chip near water courses. My main concern is water runoff from the chip pile contaminating the water course.

I'd be interested. Let me know if you do.

We've been using one of these for the last month. I think its great and will be ordering a second one soon.

Thanks to every one that got in contact. I've found a grounds man now but I'm still looking for a grounds man / climber. The position would start on the 28th of March.
Most of our work occurs in and around Norwich. You will predominately be working in a team of two. However, larger contracts are tackled using two qualified grounds men from our landscaping/grounds maintenance division. The ideal candidate will have CS 30, 31 and 38, and a good work ethic as a minimum. CS 39, MEWP, first aid, and experience of water crafts would be an added bonus but is not essential. Work would commence on the 14th of March with a months probation. Salary will be dependent on age, experience and qualifications. If your interested please PM me your details along with your CV. -
I'm still looking for someone to start asap. I can also offer 2 weeks work to someone with CS 30. Give me a call on 07722339668.

The water craft thing intrigued me too.
Some times we carry out work along the river, working off boats and using barges to remove the arisings.

I'm thinking of selling our 140mm PTO Pezzolato as it just doesn't get used enough. It was built in November 1999 but has only done 237 hours. I just wanted guidance on the price I should be selling it for as it's not a well known make in the UK. I was thinking £2,500 to £3,000. Is this a fair price?
-
We use a 140mm PTO Pezzolato on our 33Hp John Deer 995. However we have also run it off our 22Hp John Deer 455. The stress control just kicks in more often. It's always useful to have a grab bucket for shifting timber and chip in the woods.
