  1. Thought I saw a secondhand farmi trailer on eBay for about 30 k. Will have to ring up and get a price. Does anyone have a drive trailer. I have it in my head that it's going to be amazing and I'm going to be able to go anywhere. Do you think I'm over estimating it. Any one with experience.

  2. Hi. Looking at getting a new forwarding trailer to replace my botex 5055. Thinking about a palms 13d or 15d driven trailer with an 840 crane. Has anyone had any experience with these or recommend something similar. I know the likes of kesla and kronos are good trailers but is it worth spending the extra 15 to 20 grand. Thanks in advance, Mike.

  3. Hi.

would anyone be interested in a days chainsaw milling near ambleside.

It's an oak log about 16 to 20 foot long, max 4 foot diameter, clean straight log with no branches. It is clear all around the log. The customer wants it cut into beams and 2 inch boards out the middle. thanks if you can help.

    Mike.

i will try and get a picture of it on the ground if anyones interested.

  4. well, looks like i'm gonna have to make a tumbler as palax quoted £4500.

all looks fairly doable apart from the large circles and tubing that go around the rods. where do you get metal like that. it would have to be about a metre in diameter. i was wanting to do it out of scrap but i was told i might have to have it pressesd. any ideas.

  5. thanks for the advice so far. the timber on the first compartment is douglas fir and mostly below 15 inch and about 150 ton. ive got a botex crane and 10 ton extendable trailer so hope this will speed extraction up. all access is good but there will be winching involved. i know its like how longs a piece of string but roughly how long could it take to fell 150 ton going from past experience. ta
