  1. The arb course whilst i was there was called "Forestry and Arboriculture" I did the more diverse Countryside management course for one year at ND, then i had to leave due to personal reasons.
  2. Think a couple of lecturers have left at riseholme since i was there a couple of years ago... since riseholme ive been volunteering with the lincolnshire wildlife trust and now ive got this 6 month contract with them but the volunteering has been awesome, ive met alot of local contractors in different fields of work: Fencing, groundwork, etc... done work for them for cash whilst volunteering and learnt to drive all different kinds of machinery too.
  3. I went to riseholme college and studied Countryside Management but unfortunately due to personal reasons i had to leave... should really have put that up on my first post. I was thinking of maybe getting in with a local tree surgeon again and then doing a few practical quals like the chipper ticket, and then moving up.
  4. Hello everyone I am looking for advice on how to get into the industry.... I have done abit of groundie work for a local tree surgeon before (just woodchipping), need to start gaining some qualifications though, i currently work for the lincolnshire wildlife trust on a 6 month contract that ends in August, the qualifications in this field i have already are Brushcutter and im doing my tractor course very soon... I am based in Skegness, Lincolnshire.
  5. Hello, i am new to this forum. I am wondering how to get into arboriculture as i have no qualifications at all in it, i have had some previous experience of doing grounding work for a tree surgeon doing alot of wood chipping for a few days but couldnt be taken on due to insurance issues. Are there any NPTC assessment centres anyone can tell me that are good in the lincolnshire area??
