  1. Andy You had every right to ask questions of Colin, and you were right to have concerns as regards my statement in the magazine. If what I stated was incorrect then maybe those people concerned should deny what I have chosen to share with you. I believe the integrity of the I.S.A. Chapter is paramount to the development of the industry and should be defended at all costs. I find it breathtaking the very people such as yourselves in the industry should not demand better of those elected to represent you and who are responsible for the development of the I.S.A. here in the UK. Some of you see this as a personal attack; I put it to you that the entire board ignored the FACTS, by ignored I mean to do nothing about a wrong doing. That left those of us who had done so much to assist the chapter speechless, and of course deflated. Where does that leave the future of the Chapter? If, "who gives a toss"! I DO! The development of the chapter has been painful and costly, spending memberships money unnecessarily on misleading statements and incurring fines due to mismanagement In my opinion is totally unacceptable, if you the industry choose to accept these facts so be it. I believe an elected body has obligations paid or unpaid, this is what I have issue with! And as I see it the members have a right to know the truth. Having set of rules is paramount, breaking those basic rules disgraceful. I have had my say, and for those who spoke out and reminded others of respect I thank-you. Those of you who believe my magazine is owned by others “get a life” Andy my magazine is edited, are you seriously suggesting that has a similar meaning to censorship!
  2. ArbTalk CENSORSHIP? On the thread started by Colin Bashford promoting his attempts to get elected as ISA President (that was recently taken down by Arbtalk) somebody asked Colin about the article about ISA and the squandering of ISA UK+I Chapter funds. When that question was sidestepped by Colin, I decided to put the record straight by saying this:- "I resigned on the grounds that Colin Bashford had mislead the Board that lost the chapter approx £3000.00...........and also stated the Board of Directors had coursed the chapter to take on fines from companies house for late returns of record not once but twice. That prompted Colin to suggest that he thought that my statement was slanderous and that he would reply via his legal representative. To date, no such communication has been received. Anyway, after some further highly revealing posts that thread was removed which prompts the legitimate question "does this constitute Arbtalk censorship"? As a further question, is the way that the BoD (of the ISA UK+I Chapter) run the Chapter and how key individuals act (supposedly on behalf of the Members), of public interest?
  3. Having digested the above, a lot of good sound words. In a nutshell if that’s at all possible on this subject you should NOT use none CE approved product there are too many variables, the potential and only looser could be you! As I see it, • Importers should not sell on the open market “and should be reported” none C.E. that sometimes could mean inferior and dangerous products. • How can a loler inspector know the quality of the product without the safeguards of certification and therefore pass it fit for purpose? Might look good “nice and shiny” has it been tested? No! not to the standards put in place to safeguard YOU the user. • As stated above it is an offence not to buy but to use therefore why bother? Standards and common sense are needed in all aspects of life thank goodness “end of sermon”
